AgentMart

How can an agent schedule a call-back or a repeating job after the chat ends?

If a machine of yours stays on, cron runs a command at the times you set: it is free and needs nothing new.

Your coding agent may schedule its own next run: Claude Code's cloud scheduled tasks start a new session on a schedule even with your computer off, at most once an hour, on a paid Claude plan.

A service outside your agent cannot reach into a chat that has ended: either a job starts at that time, or a message waits until the agent next starts. Without a machine of yours, a GitHub Actions schedule runs a job at most every 5 minutes, and free schedulers call an address that you run. AgentMart's Wake-up calls deliver a message once or on a repeating rule, to an inbox your agent reads at its next start or to an https address that you run, for $1 per 30 days, plus a Webhook inbox ($1 per 30 days) to receive them without a server.

cron on a machine that stays on

A line in a crontab runs a command at the minutes, hours and days you give. cron looks at its entries every minute and mails a job's output to the crontab's owner.

Your coding agent's own scheduler

Claude Code has three: cloud scheduled tasks start a new cloud session from a saved prompt and repository, and Desktop scheduled tasks and /loop run on your machine. The ChatGPT desktop app, where Codex runs, has scheduled tasks too.

  • Free: No extra price, but Claude Code's cloud tasks need a Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise plan, and their runs count against its usage.
  • Account and card: A Claude account on one of those plans. For the ChatGPT app, its docs say availability depends on your plan.
  • Without a server: Claude Code's cloud tasks: yes, the computer can be off. Its Desktop tasks and /loop, and ChatGPT app tasks that need local files: no, the computer stays on and the app keeps running.
  • Keeps: Each cloud run can be opened later as a full session in your account. A /loop task ends 7 days after it was made.
  • Mind: Cloud tasks run at most once an hour, in a fresh copy of the repository without your local files, and are a research preview whose limits may change.

A GitHub Actions schedule

A workflow with a schedule trigger runs a job in your repository on a cron line, in UTC by default, on the default branch.

cron-job.org

A hosted scheduler that calls an address of yours, with the method and headers you choose, up to once a minute.

  • Free: No cost: it is paid for by donations. It does not limit the number of jobs, but expects fair use.
  • Account and card: An account.
  • Without a server: Yes for the schedule, but it calls an address: something you run must answer there.
  • Keeps: The last 50 runs of a job, and the answers' headers and bodies for 2 days.
  • Mind: A call that does not finish within 30 seconds times out, and it reads at most 64 KB of the answer.

Upstash QStash

A hosted service that delivers a message to a public HTTP address after a delay or on a schedule.

  • Free: Free plan: 1,000 messages a day, up to 10 active schedules, delays of up to 7 days and messages of up to 1 MB.
  • Account and card: An Upstash account.
  • Without a server: Yes for the schedule, but the message goes to a public address that you run.
  • Keeps: Logs 3 days on the free plan.
  • Mind: Each retry counts toward the 1,000 messages a day.

AgentMart Wake-up callsNot free: $1 per 30 days, plus Webhook inbox ($1 per 30 days).No sign-up form: your human's account is made by their first top-up, by card (at least $5), or by the free start.Yes with a Webhook inbox ($1 per 30 days); an https target needs an address you run.While the plan runs (30 days a purchase, renewable); a finished one-time call is kept up to 30 days after its last try. After a plan ends, only you can still read, export and delete what it stored, until our cleanup deletes it 30 days after the end. Only passports of the paying owner can use the instance.

When AgentMart fits

Wake-up calls: Schedule up to 100 callbacks, 1 minute to 30 days ahead, plus up to 10 repeating rules (every N minutes, hourly, daily or weekly in a time zone). Each call is delivered to an https URL you run or to a Webhook inbox you own (bought separately). A rule's missed runs are reported in a Webhook inbox: one you name for alerts, or else its target inbox. $1 per 30 days, plus Webhook inbox ($1 per 30 days).

Your human pays first, with a top-up of at least $5 by card, unless a new account uses the free start (its rules: https://agentmart.ciphyr.ai/llms/free-start.md). Unused balance expires 12 months after your last top-up or purchase. Any top-up or purchase starts the 12 months again. Our guarantee and your human's legal rights are in the terms.

  • One-time calls 1 minute to 30 days ahead, up to 100 waiting at once, each with up to 8 KB of JSON. We send due calls once a minute, so a call comes up to about a minute after its time, never before.
  • Up to 10 repeating rules: every 5 to 10,080 minutes, hourly, daily, or weekly on the days you choose, at a time in a time zone. A run that fails after every retry counts as missed, as does a run we could not start within 15 minutes of its time. A message about the misses, with how many, goes to the target inbox or to another inbox you name, at most once per rule every 60 minutes; with an https target and no inbox named, none is sent.
  • A failed delivery is retried 3 times, after 1, 5 and 15 minutes. An https address must answer with a 2xx within 5 seconds; any other answer, or none in time, is a failed try.
  • Delivered to one of your webhook inboxes (Webhook inbox, $1 per 30 days), which your agent reads at its next start, or posted to a public https address on the standard port (443). A call starts nothing by itself: something must read the inbox or answer at the address.
  • A call must fall before the plan ends. Who can use it: Only passports of the paying owner can use the instance.

Ask your human before you buy: it spends their balance. Over MCP (https://agentmart.ciphyr.ai/mcp):

buy {"item": "wake-up-calls"}
buy {"item": "webhook-inbox"}

# Once instead: wakeup_schedule with "at", 1 minute to 30 days ahead. At the start of every session:
inbox_messages {"instance_id": "<webhook inbox instance_id>"}

Over HTTP, with a session token your signing code made (the manual's Auth page: https://agentmart.ciphyr.ai/llms/auth.md):

When not to use AgentMart

  • A machine of yours stays on: cron is free.
  • Your coding agent can schedule its own runs: a wake-up call starts no agent, it only delivers a message.
  • You need runs more often than every 5 minutes, or a one-time call more than 30 days ahead.
  • Your human does not want to keep a prepaid balance.
